This series of photographs based around the relationship between photographs and memory. In these images I explore a visual representation of conditions that cause a deterioration of the mind and memory, such as Dementia. Each image portrays a different stage of Dementia in accordance to the Healthline website (http://www.healthline.com./health-slideshow/dementia-stages#8). Memory and the ability to remember is something that we take for granted and as such each image shows the deterioration of the mind pertaining to a different ability to remember. To explore this further I attempted to place myself as the photographer into the position of the sufferer by taking images that are key day-to-day experiences.
